Verbatim from Fourth Circuit administrative order 1975-04 as published by the Duval County Clerk, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • When a defendant is arrested on any misdemeanor or ordinance violation all contemporaneous traffic citations shall accompany the arrest and booking report and shall be placed on the court's calendar on the same date and at the same time and place as the charge for which the defendant is arrested. • When a defendant receives a misdemeanor citation all contem- poraneous traffic citations shall accompany !the misdemeanor citation and shall be placed on the court's calendar on tpe same date and at the same time and place as the charge for which the aefendant received the misdemeanor citation. • In each of the foregoing instances the defendant shall never- theless have the option of appearing at the Traffic Violations Bureau, • Florida Statutes, shall be made returnable to the Traffic Violations • Defendants charged with those violations of Chapters 320 and 322, Florida Statutes, designated below shall have ten (10) days from the issuance of said citations within which to appear at the Traffic • Bureau and dispose of said traffic citations as hereinafter set forth shall result in the issuance of a Form D-6. • Failure of any defendant to appear. at the Traffic Violations Bureau and make disposition of any citation for any of the three charges listed below in this paragraph shall result in the issuance of a capias for the arrest of the defendant. together with a Form D-6. • Bureau a valid registration issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in A(l) or A(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Violations Bureau a valid Florida registration issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in B(l) or B(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Violations Bureau a valid operator's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in C(l) or C(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Violations Bureau a valid chauffeur's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in D(l) or D(2), the defendant shall be given a court date . • Violations Bureau a valid driver's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in E(l) or E(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Violations Bureau a valid Florida driver's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in Fel) or F(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in G(l) or G(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in H(l), the defendant shall be given a court date. -4- -- 4 of 5 -- '. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in 1(1), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Upon appearing at the Traffic Violations Bureau the defendant shall be given a. court date. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as provided in K(l), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Upon appearing at the Traffic Violations Bureau the defendant shall be given a court date. • When a Florida registration or Florida driver's license is presented at the Traffic Violations Bureau in connection with the procedure set forth ab9ve, all pertinent information from the registration or the driver's license including, but not limited t?, registration or driver's license number; issued date; expiration date; and defendant's date of birth shall be placed on the original citation by the deputy clerk examining said registration or driver's license, togethe~ with the initials of the examining deputy clerk. • In computing the ten (10) day periods herein the first day shall not;be counted. • The last day of the period shall be included unless it is' a Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday in which event the period shall rUn until the end of the next day which is neither a Saturday, Sunday nor legal holiday_
