Verbatim from Fourth Circuit administrative order 1978-49C as published by the Duval County Clerk, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • Statutes, shall be made returnable to the Traffic Violations Bureau within ten (10) 'days of the issuance of such traffic citations. • Defendants charged with those criminal violations of Chapters 320 and 322, Florida Statutes, designated below shall have ten (10) days from the issuance of said criminal citations within which to appear at the Traffic Violations Bureau and dispose .....-J • ...... of said criminal traffic citations as herein after set forth. • Failure of any defendant to appear at the Traffic Violations Bureau and ·dispose of said criminal traffic cita~ions as hereinafter set forth shall result in the issuance of a Form D-6. • Failure of any defendant to appear at the Traffic Violations Bureau and make disposition of any citation for any of the three criminal charges listed below in this paragraph shall result in the issuance of a capias for' the arrest of the defendant, together with a Form 0-6. • The capias shall be issued in the name of the Chief Judge of the Fourth Judicial -- 1 of 8 -- ( • (a) The capiases shall be issued six (6) weeks after the issuance of a Form 0-6 with regard to charges one (1) and three (3) as set forth in said paragraph: • (b) The capiases issued with regard to charge two (2) shall be issued contemporaneously with the Form D-6 as heretofore provided in said Order. • (e) Any other criminal contemporaneous citation issued with any of the charges enumerated in one (1) thru three (3) as set forth in said paragraph shall be included in the capias. • Bureau a vaiid Florida registration issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in A(l) or A(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Bureau a valid operator's license issued prior to the traffic citation, -- 2 of 8 -- 'f • ( said ~itation shall L ismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in B(l) or B(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. c. • Bureau a valid chauffeur's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in C(l) or C(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Bureau a valid driver's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. '2. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in D(l) or D(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Bureau a valid Florida driver's license issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If th< .ffic citation is not di ,ed of as pro- ~" vided in E (1) or E (2), the defendant shall be given a court date. ~ SE,~ Cl F. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in F(l), the defendant shall be given a court date. • If the traffic citatiQn is~not disposed of as pro-- vided in G(l), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Upon appearing at the Traffic Violations Bureau the defendant shall be given a court date. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in I(l), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Upon appearing at the Traffic Violations Bureau the .defendant shall be given a court date. • Violations Bureau with a corrected replacement driver's license, showing change of address or name, the citation shall be dismissed. • Bureau a valid vehicle registration issued prior to the traffic citation, said citation shall be dismissed . • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in L(l) or L(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • Bureau a valid vehicle registration ,issued prior to the traffic - citation, said citation shall be dismissed. • If the traffic citation is not disposed of as pro- vided in M(l) or M(2), the defendant shall be given a court date. • When a Florida registration or Florida driver's license is presented at ,.the Traffic Violations Bureau in connection with the procedure set forth above, all pertinent information from the regis- tration or the driverts license including, but not limited to, registration or driver'_s license number; issued date; expiration date; and defendantts date of birth shall be placed on the original citation by the deputy clerk examining said registration or driverts license, together with the initials of the examining deputy clerk. • 4. • A citation for speeding in excess of 25 M.P.H. over the lawful speed limit may not be disposed of at the Traffic
Statutes, shall be made returnable to the Traffic Violations Bureau within ten (10) 'days of the issuance of such traffic citations.
