Verbatim from the order, captured live 2026-08-03 from the Duval Clerk's store; whitespace normalised only. • For work performed on or after September 1, 2002, the attorney shall be compensated at the rate of $90.00 per hour for in-court work or out-of-court work for services rendered as court appointed counsel. • For work performed prior to September 1, 2002, the attorney shall be compensated at the rate specified in any contract between OSCA and the appointed attomey. • In order to exceed this cap, the attorney must document the extraordinary nature of the case. • (D) That court appointed attomeys shall receive compensation for costs and expenses as follows: • The attorney must utilize the court contract court reporters for the Fourth Judicial -- 1 of 3 -- Circuit for attendance at depositions. • Unless otherwise approved by the Chief Judge, costs for out·of-circuit court reporter services shall be paid in accordance with costs paid Eg to court contract court reporters for the Fourth Circuit. • Extraordinary costs (expert witnesses, psychological reports, private investigators, deposition transcripts, out of county travel, or other expenses) incurred on behalf of the § respondent must have prior, written approval of the Chief Judge, except that prior 2 approval is not necessary to take the deposition of a state witness within the State of Jé Florida. • The petition shall state the necessity of hiring the professional and must reflect, to the degree practicable, the maximum fee that the professional will charge for services; • Copy fees in excess of the maximum may not be incurred without prior court approval; • (E) That all payments to the attorney shall be awarded only by order of the Chief Judge and shall be based on the Petition for Award of Attomeys Fees and Costs and Affidavit of Costs . submitted by the attomey.
