Roger K. Gannam

Judge Roger K. Gannam joined the Sixth District Court of Appeal on September 5, 2023, following his appointment by Governor Ron DeSantis.

Judge Gannam was born in Savannah, Georgia, and moved to Florida before his first birthday. Growing up in Jacksonville, Judge Gannam earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of North Florida in 1996, and his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1999.

Judge Gannam spent the first six years of his legal career in Jacksonville with two international law firms, practicing complex business litigation and class action defense. Judge Gannam spent the next eight years with a Jacksonville firm, becoming a partner and practicing in a broad range of business and consumer litigation matters, including construction, real estate, corporate governance, employment, and estate and trust disputes, as well as prosecution of consumer class actions and pro bono constitutional litigation. He also advised clients in company formation and the purchase, sale, and financing of businesses and commercial real estate. In 2014, Judge Gannam joined an international public interest law firm where he litigated constitutional law cases in trial and appellate courts throughout the country, including the Supreme Court of the United States.
