The order applies until the Judicial Council of California develops procedures and forms for remote appearances in misdemeanor and felony cases; the court's Remote Appearances page still cites it (read 2026-10-07). Local Rule 2.21 (e) (amended July 1, 2026) sets five business days for remote registration; a review task asks which governs traffic and criminal requests.
