This program is modeled on the successful program implemented at Orange County Superior Court. Commencing July 6, 2026, all discovery motions filed in unlimited civil cases will be scheduled for a mandatory Informal Discovery Conference on an expedited timeline following the filing of the motion. Informal Discovery Conferences will be conducted in person with a judicial officer of the court, with the goal of resolving the dispute in a more expeditious, cost-effective, and streamlined manner, while also helping to reduce law and motion calendar congestion and hearing delays.
