(See Code of Civil Proc. §367.75 and Cal. Rules of Court, rules 3.670 and 3.672). However, personal appearance at a hearing may be required if the bench officer determines that “in-person appearance would materially assist in the determination of the proceeding or in the effective management or resolution of the case.” (Cal.
