The same five people serve as magistrates in both the family division (AO 5-44.5) and juvenile dependency (AO 6-10.6) across all three counties.
Family division and juvenile dependency matters in Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties. All five also hold appointments as child support enforcement hearing officers under AO 5-31.12.
Robin Matis-Jackson, Philip Vandenbosch, Jennifer Steimle, Jeffrey Sirmons and Maria Zucker are appointed as magistrates to preside over family division cases as assigned by any circuit judge (AO 5-44.5), and as magistrates in Hardee, Highlands and Polk Counties for the purpose of hearing juvenile dependency cases and any other matters related thereto or as otherwise referred (AO 6-10.6).
