Verbatim from Diaz, Veronica's page, harvested 2026-08-02; whitespace normalised only. • To participate by video, you must click on the weblink you received in the email invitation at the time your hearing is scheduled. • Video appearance is required for any participant whose testimony is necessary so the Judge can administer the oath. • All parties must also register with the CourtMap system to view the case and submit required evidence or additional documents. • In order to create a CourtMAP account, you must first register with the State of Florida’s E-Filing Portal for the case in which you are a self-represented litigant. • TO PARTICIPATE BY VIDEO/PHONE ON ZOOM, YOU MUST CLICK ON THE WEBLINK YOU RECEIVED IN THE EMAIL INVITATION AT THE TIME YOUR HEARING IS SCHEDULED OR CALL THE PHONE NUMBER LISTED IN THE INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE BY PHONE. • YOU DO NOT NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING OR SET UP AN ACCOUNT TO PARTICIPATE IN A ZOOM HEARING. • VIDEO APPEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ANY PARTICIPANT WHOSE TESTIMONY IS NECESSARY SO JUDGE DIAZ CAN ADMINISTER THE OATH. • All emergency motions must contain a certification that the matter is a true Emergency and cannot wait to be heard during the Court’s next motion calendar for scheduling purposes. • You must be prepared to appear before the Court within one (1) hour of submission of the Emergency Motion to the Court. • To set a matter on the Court's motion calendar for hearing: 1) Select the date from the Court's motion calendar availability (found on courtMAP for motion calendar only). 2) Create the event on courtMAP (set your hearing), upload all supporting documents (filed motion, notice of hearing, etc.). *DO NOT create multiple events (set multiple hearings); the system allows for two (2) motions to be set for each case. • The movant MUST e-file the notice of hearing via the e-portal system. • Movants cancelling a hearing shall e-file a notice of cancellation and also cancel the hearing on courtMAP. • You must seek a continuance by filing a Motion for Continuance at least 5 business days prior to a scheduled Calendar call. • All of the supporting documents listed above must have an e-file stamp. • Copies of pre-trial catalogues must be uploaded to CourtMap no less than 15 days prior to the trial. • Once a party uploads the pre-trial catalogue under the supporting documents option on CourtMap, the party must EMAIL Bailiff/Guillermo Magarin @ GMagarin@jud11.flcourts.org to advise of filing. • Should the case resolve prior to the scheduled trial date, the party who filed the Notice must immediately file a notice of cancellation via the e-portal and contact chambers to remove the case from calendar and schedule a UCD date. • All proposed orders MUST include as supporting documents a cover letter and motion (with attachments, if any). • The cover letter MUST address the following: - Title of motion, with date of hearing (if previously heard); - That order was sent to opposing counsel/pro se party; and - Whether opposing counsel/pro se party AGREES to order or not. • The following proposed orders for matters that HAVE NOT been previously heard will be accepted via CourtMap: - Motions to Compel Mandatory Disclosure; - Exparte Motions to Compel Discovery; - Motions for Default; - Motions to Withdraw (a written consent must be attached to the motion. • The order MUST include a current address, phone number and email for client); - Motions for Substitution of Counsel; - Emergency Exparte Motions for Injunctive Relief; - Final Judgments of Paternity (with MSA, Parenting Plan and Child Support Guidelines); and - Agreed orders on all issues except Motions for Continuance. • Motions for Continuance MUST be set for hearing at least seven (7) days prior to the trial date. • Once these documents are filed, you must EMAIL JA drosario@jud11.flcourts.org, with a copy to opposing counsel, advising that you are ready to coordinate a hearing date and time. • Any settings that do not include the motion and request for hearing as described above will be rejected. 4. • DO NOT NOTICE YOUR HEARINGS UNLESS YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE CONFIRMATION THAT THE HEARING IS SET. • IF THE OPPOSING PARTY IS NOT REGISTERED FOR COURTMAP YOU MUST GENERATE YOUR OWN NOTICE WITH AN APPROPRIATE CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE AND MAIL IT TO THE OPPOSING PARTY. • ONCE A SPECIAL SET HEARING IS APPROVED , all responses, replies, etc. must be submitted via CourtMAP at least three (3) business days prior to the hearing date. *ADD-ON motions to special set hearings will be permitted only in Judge Diaz’s discretion and in consideration of time limitations. • All parties must review and follow the administrative order on evidence, for instructions on how to upload and present evidence for all evidentiary hearings, special set hearings and/or trials. • Absent this procedure, the attorneys/parties are required to appear in court for the scheduled date/time. • YOU MUST UPLOAD A PROPOSED FINAL JUDGMENT TO COURTMAP AS A PROPOSED ORDER IN ORDER FOR JUDGE DIAZ TO EXECUTE THE FINAL JUDGMENT. • The following documents must be e-filed through the Florida E-filing Portal AND uploaded to CourtMap as Supporting Documents. • All supporting documents must have the e-filing stamp, or your submission will be rejected. 1.
