Verbatim from the operative section of https://www.jud12.flcourts.org/Portals/0/AdminOrders/Section12/99-19-12.pdf, harvested 2026-08-02; whitespace normalised only. • This rule shall apply to proceedings for (1) the establishment, enforcement, or modification of child support, or (2) the enforcement of any support order for the custodial parent in conjunction with an ongoing child support or child support arrearage order, when a party seeking support is receiving services pursuant to Title IV-D of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 651 et seq.) and to non-Title IV-0 proceedings upon administrative order of the chief justice. • The chief judge shall appoint such number of support enforcement hearing officers as are necessary to perform the prescribed duties. • All hearing officers shall meet the requirements set forth in Rule 12.491, and shall serve at the pleasure of the chief judge and a majority of the circuit judges in the circuit. • All enforcement proceedings conducted by a Support Enforcement Hearing Officer shall be governed by the provisions set forth in this rule. • All hearings before a Support Enforcement Hearing Officer shall be reported by electronic means as provided in Florida Rule of Judicial Administration 2.070(d).
