Broward Division FE/MVC/VF (EDWARD H. MERRIGAN JR.) — Proposed orders

Source of truth

Motion for Continuance may also be scheduled for a hearing, when one party objects or depending on the type of hearing being asked to be continued. If there are no objections from either side, a copy of the e-filed motion and a proposed “AGREED ORDER” continuing the case may be emailed to the Judicial Assistant for the Judge to enter. Kindly explain in the body of the email how far out the requested reset should be, eg: 30/60/90 days out. Canceling a hearing will also require an email to the Judicial Assistant with the opposing party copied, outlining the reason for the cancellation.

Reviewer note: Document sha256: 36e45ebe9fb615ba72b2d513906c7fa18d9ba7cf49d6099a1f80284c61e1b6e1. Corpus topic: PROPOSED_ORDERS. Published during the completeness pass — the audit found 2,753 verbatim requirements against 123 published rules. GOOGLE DOCS VEIN: 102 of the Seventeenth Circuit's 106 division procedure documents are published as Google Docs (docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-...), not as PDFs on the court's own host. Two consecutive fetches of the same Google Doc URL return DIFFERENT bytes — Google injects per-request session config — so the document_sha256 recorded here pins one render, not a stable identity, and content-hash change detection does not work on this vein. Re-verified live 2026-07-24 by text presence instead: six sampled documents still carried 100%, 100%, 100%, 91%, 100% and 100% of their published requirements. Verbatim from the published divisional procedures, captured 2026-07-24; whitespace normalised only. [moved from the text 2026-09-14]
