However, all filing, motion or other pleading that has been drafted, in whole or in part, with the assistance of generative artificial intelligence tool shall specifically identify the specific tool used in the drafting (including but not limited to Harvey AI; Lexis+ AI; AI.Law; Co-Counsel by Thomson Reuters; Drafting Assistant by Westlaw; ChatGPT by OpenAI; Claude AI by Anthropic; Microsoft Copilot; etc.) For example, “Harvey AI and Lexis+ AI” were the tools used "in drafting portions of the text" and/or "to perform background research".

GOOGLE DOCS VEIN: 102 of the Seventeenth Circuit's 106 division procedure documents are published as Google Docs (docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-...), not as PDFs on the court's own host. Two consecutive fetches of the same Google Doc URL return DIFFERENT bytes — Google injects per-request session config — so the document_sha256 recorded here pins one render, not a stable identity, and content-hash change detection does not work on this vein. Re-verified live 2026-07-24 by text presence instead: six sampled documents still carried 100%, 100%, 100%, 91%, 100% and 100% of their published requirements.
G-2026-045-SC required anyone using generative AI to disclose it on the face of the filing and add a scripted certification, on pain of striking, denial of relief or monetary penalties. Rule 2.515(d)(2) and AOSC26-12 preempted it on June 15, 2026, so it could not be enforced — and by August 16, 2026 the Seventh Circuit had removed the order from its published register (no rescission instrument appears there).
