LUCIE COUNTIES, FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER 2009-12 RE: Disposal of cases of deceased individuals subsequent to notification by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) In accordance with the authority vested in the Chief Judge, pursuant to the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, it is hereby ORDERED: . The Clerks of Court of Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and S1.Lucie Counties shall dispose of any case where the Clerk of Court has been informed by the Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) that the defendant is deceased and that the deceased individual had an outstanding citation at the time of death. Subsequent to the disposing of the case, the Clerk of Court shall report to the DHSMV, in a timely manner, via the Traffic Citation Accounting and Transmission System (TCATS) that the case has been cleared. DONE and ORDERED in quadruplicate in Stuart, Martin County, Florida on this L day of September, 2009. ~~ STEVEN J.
