HEARING TIME & ARGUMENT LIMITS • WHEREAS section 744.3145, Florida Statutes, requires that each person appointed by the court to be guardian, other than a parent who is the guardian of the property of a minor child, must receive a minimum of eight hours of instruction and training in the following areas: • Each person appointed by the court to be the guardian of the property of his or her minor child must receive a minimum of four hours of instruction and training that covers: • Guardianship Training and Support Services 8-hour on-line guardianship training for guardians of adults 4-hour on-line guardianship training for guardians of minors PROPOSED ORDERS • This Administrative Order shall not be construed so as to prohibit other qualified individuals or organizations from applying for and receiving approval in the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit to offer and teach similar guardianship courses, provided the instruction and training satisfies the requirements for approval under section 744.314 5, Florida Statutes.
