HEARING TIME & ARGUMENT LIMITS • IN THE CIRCUIT COURT, NINETEENTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, IN AND FOR ST. LUCIE, INDIAN RIVER, MARTIN AND OKEECHOBEE COUNTIES, FLORIDA ADM INISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2023-08 I N RE: LOCAL BOND SCHEDULE W HEREAS, the Florida Legislature has enacted section 903.011(5)(a), Florida Statutes, requiring the Florida Supreme Court to adopt an annual uniform statewide bond schedule that applies when the police or county jail or pretrial release employees exercise discretion to release a person on bond before the person’s first appearance hearing; and W HEREAS, the Florida Supreme Court has issued AOSC23- 88 (In RE: Uni form Statewide Bond Schedule) in furtherance of the legislative directive; NO W THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as the Chief Judge of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit and pursuant to the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration, it is hereby: O RDERED, that all police or county jail or pretrial release employees of the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit exercising discretion to release a person on bond before the person’s first appearance hearing shall follow the Uniform Statewide Bond Schedule set forth in AOSC23-88, a copy of such order being attached hereto as Exhibit A. Such schedule shall be effective January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. It is further, O RDERED, that notwithstanding such schedule, all non- United States citizens charged with any felony offense shall be held without bond until first appearance.
