• WHEREAS, it has been determined that Administrative Order No. 89-18, dated November 8, 1989, should be amended. • NOW THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as Chief Judge and pursuant to the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration, and pursuant to Rule 6.340(b) of the Rules of Traffic Court, it is, • ORDERED that the following procedure will be instituted for the handling of Affidavits of Defense or Admissions or Waivers of Appearance in civil traffic matters: • 1. When an alleged offender files an Affidavit of Defense or Admission and Waiver of Appearance with the Clerk or the Traffic Violations Bureau, a cash bond in the amount of $75.00 or the amount of the violation, whichever is greater, shall be posted before the Court will accept such an Affidavit. • 2. This Order shall be in effect immediately and remain in effect until further Order of the Court and all terms and conditions set forth in this Administrative Order shall apply unless otherwise ordered by the Court. • This Order shall be recorded in the Official Records of Duval County in the State of Florida and copies furnished by the Clerk of the Court to the Jacksonville Bar Association.
