Accordingly, all parties must be copied on any email directed to the judicial office, unless an ex parte communication is otherwise specifically authorized by law. • 2 • Unsolicited Communications: Unsolicited communications from nonparties will not be considered by the court. Parties may only contact the judicial office in accordance with these practices and procedures. • • Response to Inquiries: The Court’s Judicial Assistant is not authorized to provide legal advice. If the Court’s Judicial Assistant is out of the office, you will receive an automated response to your email directing you on how to proceed in her absence. Responses to emails will be given in the order in which the emails are received. • B. Courtroom Procedures and Scheduling • Court Schedule: The Court uses a trial week hearing week court calendar cycle, Trial weeks are June 8; June 29, July 27, August 10, August 24, August 31, September 14, September 28, October 12, October 26, November 2, November 16, November 30 and December 14. The opposite weeks are hearing weeks where hearings will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; which includes: arraignments, pretrial conferences, hearings and final pretrial conferences. Arraignments and any other necessary pre-trial hearings will continue to be held on trial week Thursdays. When appropriate court will start at 0830 to accommodate the trial schedule. Emails will be sent ahead of time to notify counsel of the time change. • • Any waivers of appearance of the defendant shall be in writing and filed with the clerk.
