• 1. Upon the effective date of this Order, the procedure set forth herein shall be • used in all cases, whether civil or criminal, for the transportation of prisoners to courthouses • 2. All Orders to Transport entered in this circuit shall give the Sheriff’s Office the • a. For all inmates in a county jail within the Eighth Judicial Circuit, two (2) • business days or forty‐eight (48) hours, whichever is longer, before any proceeding requiring • b. For all inmates in correctional institutions or county jails outside the • Eighth Judicial Circuit, ten (10) business days before any proceeding requiring presence of the • inmate. The ten (10) business days notice applies to inmates within the State of Florida, but • outside of the Eighth Judicial Circuit, and inmates located outside the State of Florida. • 3. The Eighth Judicial Circuit judiciary and all counsel of record shall comply with • these time frames. However, in an emergency or exceptional circumstance, the presiding judge • may on their own motion request transportation of an inmate outside of these time frames.
