Verbatim from https://ninthcircuit.org/sites/default/files/2014-21%20-%20%20Order%20Governing%20Case%20Assignment%20Method.Osceola.pdf, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • WHEREAS, pursuant to the chief judge’s constitutional and statutory responsibility for administrative supervision of the courts within the circuit and to create and maintain an organization capable of effecting the efficient, prompt, and proper administration of justice for the citizens of this State, the chief judge is required to exercise direction, see Fla. • The Clerk of the Trial Court for Osceola County shall immediately cease assigning cases by Judge name. -- 1 of 2 -- • The Clerk shall immediately assign all cases in all divisions by division number only so as to prevent confusion and inefficiencies when a judge is assigned to another division. • The Clerk shall immediately go through all open cases in Osceola County and shall update the assignment from Judge name to assignment by division number. • Further, The Clerk shall report to the Court by December 1, 2014, if the above stated goal has been be achieved and if not, when it can be achieved. • Each time a closed case is re-opened, the Clerk shall also update the assignment from
