Jail-time credit is considered only on a written Motion for Time Served from the defendant or counsel with proof of incarceration attached, and is granted only for custody under a valid warrant or capias issued by the Precinct 1 justice court before the incarceration; every time-served motion and order a judge considers or signs is retained and transmitted to the justice of the peace for the case file.
