The following matters are referred to the Felony Pre-Indictment Courts 1 and 2, and/or to the Bexar County Criminal Law Magistrate Court: a. Hearings conducted pursuant to and in accordance with Article 47.01a of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure ("Property Disposition Hearings"); and b. Hearings conducted pursuant to and in accordance with Article 51.13 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure ("Extradition Hearings"). 2. The Criminal District Court Judges of Bexar County consider the hearings listed above in Paragraph 1 to be "necessary and proper" for referral to the Associate Judges under Government Code Section 54A.006(a)(11). 3. The Criminal District Court Judges of Bexar County consider the hearings listed above in Paragraph 1 to be "necessary and proper" for referral to the Bexar County Criminal Law Magistrate under Government Code Section 54.906(a)(8). 4. Consistent with and in accordance with Government Code Section 54A.013, if the action taken by the Associate Judge related to a Property Disposition Hearing or Extradition Hearing is not superseded by an order entered by a District Court Judge within thirty (30) days of such action taken, the Associate Judge's ruling will become a decree of the District Court to which the case is ultimately assigned. 5. Consistent with and in accordance with Government Code Section 54.912, if the action taken by the Criminal Law Magistrate related to a Property Disposition Hearing or Extradition Hearing is not superseded by an order entered by a District Court Judge by the conclusion of the term during which the services of the Magistrate are used, the Criminal Law Magistrate's ruling will be approved by, be adopted by, and become a decree of, the District Court to which the case is ultimately assigned. 6. This Standing Order is issued pursuant to Texas Government Code Sections 54A.006, 54A.007, 54.906, and 54.907, and in accordance with Rule 10 of the Texas Rules of Judicial Administration. 7. Each referral encompassed by and authorized by this Standing Order shall remain in effect until any subsequent orders directing otherwise are issued by one or more of the District Court Judges.
