LINEAGE: under Administrative Order 2011-2 (Sept. 23, 2011), effective January 1, 2012, every proceeding requiring an attorney ad litem in which a filing fee was paid also required a deposit toward the ad litem's fee at the time of filing, "held by the County Clerk for disbursement to the attorney ad litem appointed in the case upon order of the court," set at $400 for Applications for Guardianship and Applications for Determination of Heirship; Administrative Order 2021-6 (June 4, 2021) increased the deposit to $500. ORDER: "ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED that, for all applications filed on or after November 1, 2023, the amounts to be deposited towards the fee for the attorney ad litem shall be in the amount stated below: Application for Guardianship: $600.00; Application for Determination of Heirship: $600.00."
