FILLEY DISTRICT JUDGE DAWSON, GAINES, GARZA AND LYNN COUNTIES STANDING ORDER Effective immediately, the following District Courtroom Rules shall take effect: WEAPONS: No weapons (including but not limited to firearms and knives) allowed in the Courtroom unless prior permission is received from the District Judge. FOOD and DRINK: No food allowed in the Courtroom. The only drink allowed in the Courtroom is water, and it must be contained in a spill-proof container. PROPER ATTIRE: Proper attire shall be worn in the Courtroom. Male attorneys shall wear either a suit or sport coat with pants (no jeans) AND a necktie. Female attorneys shall wear court appropriate clothing (no jeans), including appropriate footwear (no flip-flops). Unless worn for religious or medical purposes, head coverings (ie hats) shall not be worn in the Courtroom, regardless of gender. No sleeveless shirt shall be worn in the Courtroom. No shorts shall be worn in the Courtroom. ELECTRONIC DEVICES: Electronic devices shall be silenced in the Courtroom. Any electronic device that makes noise in the Courtroom is subject to being confiscated. RECORDING: Neither video recording, audio recording, nor taking of photographs is permitted in the Courtroom unless prior permission is received from the District Judge.
