Recently, the Texas Legislature passed SB 293 and HB 16 requiring the court to act within prescribed periods after the filing of a motion for summary judgment. Therefore, upon the filing of a motion for summary judgement, the clerk shall notify the appropriate court coordinator of the filing of the motion for summary judgment.
