The family-law local rules of the 279th and 317th District Courts: attorney and self-represented conduct/decorum (Disciplinary Rules and the Lawyer’s Creed); photographs and audio/video recording prohibited in the courtroom absent a written TRCP 18c order (except adoptions); current contact information required with the court and District Clerk (the court notices by email); lead-counsel vacation letters up to three weeks per year (June–Aug designations filed by May 15, other months by Feb. 1); mandatory e-filing and TRCP 21c sensitive-data redaction (no initials in place of names absent redaction authority); bench exchange (a case stays in the original court absent a transfer order); and the prior-filing rule sending a later suit involving the same parties/subject (divorce, support, conservatorship, and incident matters, by original, modification, clarification, or enforcement) to the court that first had jurisdiction.

1.2 "Photographs and audio / video recording are prohibited in the courtroom, unless specifically authorized in writing by court order pursuant to Tex. R. Civ. P. 18c. This rule does not apply to adoptions." 2.2 Vacation letters: "not more than three weeks of vacation during a calendar year... Written designation for vacation weeks during June, July or August must be filed with the District Clerk by May 15... other than June, July or August... by February 1." 2.4.2 "A pleading must not contain initials in place of the first and last name unless redaction of the name is required or permitted by Tex. R. Civ. P. 21c, other law, or court order." 2.5.1 Bench Exchange: "when a Judge signs an order on behalf of another Court, the case shall remain in the original Court." 2.5.2 Prior Filings: "a subsequent suit or cause of action involving the same parties or the same subject matter shall be filed in, or transferred to, the Court that first had jurisdiction... including divorce, support, conservatorship, and all matters incident to them, whether sought by original proceedings or by modification, clarification or enforcement."
