COURTROOM RULES AND DECORUM GENERAL CONDUCT. All persons shall conduct themselves in a respectful and orderly manner toward the Judge, court staff, and all participants. Electronic devices must be turned OFF or SILENCED. NO RECORDING, TEXTING, OR PHONE CALLS. Private conversations are prohibited while court is in session. Disruptive behavior, gestures, or remarks will not be tolerated. Children are not permitted unless appearing before the Court. NO FOOD OR DRINKS. DRESS CODE. Proper courtroom attire is required. No exposed midriffs or suggestive clothing. No tank tops or halter-style garments. No excessively low-rise pants, skirts, or shorts. No exposed undergarments. No clothing with offensive language or images, or advertising alcohol or drugs. NO FLIP-FLOPS, FLASHY JEWELRY, OR HATS. All hats and head coverings must be removed upon entry. COURTROOM PROCEDURE. Arrive on time. Late arrival may result in contempt of court. Sign in with the court clerk. Address the Judge as "Your Honor." Speak only when recognized by the Court. Do not interrupt proceedings. Bring all required documents and extra copies. Witnesses must remain seated until called and answer only the questions asked. SECURITY. WEAPONS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Follow all instructions from court security officers. Report suspicious activity immediately. FAILURE TO COMPLY. Failure to comply with these rules may result in: Removal from the courtroom; Contempt of court; Delay or dismissal of your case.
