IN RE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN THE JUSTICE COURTS OF LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS STANDING ORDER REQUIRING PARTIES TO APPEAR AT MEDIATION Pursuant to the Local Rules of the Lubbock County Justice Courts, the parties in causes of action required to participate in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in Lubbock County, shall do so on or before the date set forth in the court’s scheduling order. The parties are ordered to coordinate the ADR proceeding with the Office of Dispute Resolution for Lubbock County (ODR) or, in the alternative, through the use of a private mediator. If a private mediator is used, the parties shall report such election to ODR. Unless otherwise agreed or ordered, the ADR proceeding or mediation shall take place in Lubbock County, Texas. Named parties, including corporate representatives, are ordered to be present in person, virtually, or telephonically unless otherwise ordered or agreed. If a named party is covered in whole or in party by insurance, a representative with full authority to settle the case shall attend in person and participate in the mediation. The parties are further ordered to exchange documents that will assist resolving the case at least seven days before the ADR proceeding or mediation. These documents include medical bills, medical records, a summary of any and all liens, and any other documents which will facilitate a resolution of the case.
