Amended Local Rules of the 90th Judicial District Court for Young and Stephens Counties, Texas (Hon. Stephen E. Bristow; amended Sept. 1, 2023). All counsel are to communicate with the court by email (districtjudge@youngcounty.org), and all parties practicing before the court must provide a current, valid email address to the coordinator within ten days; the email is checked daily, but the court responds to disputed issues (including court settings) only if all parties of record have been copied — to prevent any appearance of impropriety or ex parte communication, all communication (email and/or fax) must be copied to all parties in the case. Rule 1, Court Settings: all settings are scheduled through the court coordinator (call or email in advance; once a date is agreed by all counsel, notify the coordinator immediately and a confirmation email copied to all parties is required); when the court sets a case for hearing, all parties are notified and counsel are expected to appear. Further rules govern the civil and criminal docket.
