Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
If a death occurs under circumstances described by Article 49A.109(a), a person may not disturb or remove the body from the position in which the body is found without authorization from the medical examiner, or the medical examiner's authorized deputy, except to:
(1) preserve the body from loss or destruction; or
(2) maintain the flow of traffic on a highway, railroad, or airport.
