HEADING, STATEMENT, AND ISSUE ON APPLICATION FOR PETITION TO LEGALIZE.
Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
(a) An application for a petition seeking an election to legalize the sale of alcoholic beverages of one or more of the various types and alcoholic contents must be headed: "Application for Local Option Election Petition to Legalize."
(b) The application must contain a statement just ahead of the signatures of the applicants, as follows: "It is the hope, purpose and intent of the applicants whose signatures appear hereon to see legalized the sale of alcoholic beverages referred to in the issue set out above."
(c) The issue to be voted on must be:
(1) clearly stated in the application; and
(2) one of the issues listed in Section 501.035.
