Tex. Gov't Code § 865.0095 · Chapter 865. ADMINISTRATION
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR.
Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
(a) The state board, by a majority vote of all members, shall appoint a person other than a member of the state board to serve at the state board's will as executive director.
(b) To be eligible to serve as the executive director, a person must:
(1) be a citizen of the United States; and
(2) have executive ability and experience necessary to conduct the duties of executive director.
