Tex. Occ. Code § 1901.103 · Subchapter C. TEXAS WATER WELL DRILLERS ADVISORY BOARD
MEMBERSHIP AND EMPLOYEE RESTRICTIONS.
Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
(a) An officer, employee, or paid consultant of a trade association in the well drilling industry may not be a board member or an employee of the department connected with the administration of this chapter.
(b) A board member or an employee of the department connected with the administration of this chapter may not be related within the second degree by affinity or consanguinity to a person who is an officer, employee, or paid consultant of a trade association in the well drilling industry.
(c) A person may not serve as a member of the board if the person is required to register as a lobbyist under Chapter 305, Government Code, because of the person's activities on behalf of a trade or professional association in the well drilling industry.
