QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.

Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
(a) To be eligible to be a candidate for or to serve as a director, a person must be:
(1) a district resident; and
(2) a qualified voter.
(b) A person who is elected from a commissioners precinct or who is appointed to fill a vacancy for a commissioners precinct must be a resident of that commissioners precinct.
(c) A district employee may not serve as a director.
