AUTHORITY TO SELL OR CLOSE CERTAIN DISTRICT HOSPITALS.
Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
(a) The board may not sell or close a hospital transferred to the district by the Edna Hospital District unless the sale or closing is approved by a two-thirds majority vote of the district voters voting at an election held for that purpose. A concurrence of seven directors is required to call the election.
(b) The board may not call another election before the first anniversary of the date of a previous election held under this section.
