Tex. Spec. Dist. Local Laws Code § 8111.109 · Subchapter C. DIVISION OF DISTRICT INTO MULTIPLE DISTRICTS
ANNEXATION.
Text — Current through the 89th 2nd Called Legislative Session, 2025
A municipality may annex the original district, or a new district that is created as a result of a division of the district under Section 8111.102 or 8111.103, only after:
(1) the district has installed at least 90 percent of all works, improvements, facilities, plants, equipment, and appliances necessary to:
(A) provide service to the proposed development in the district;
(B) accomplish the purposes for which the district was created; and
(C) exercise the powers provided by general law and this chapter; or
(2) at least 10 years have elapsed since the creation of the district was confirmed at an election held under Section 8111.023.
