INVESTIGATING COSTS OF OBTAINING SERVICE FROM ANOTHER SOURCE.

If a gas utility does not produce the service that it distributes, transmits, or furnishes to the public for compensation but obtains the service from another source, the regulatory authority may investigate the cost of that production in an investigation of the reasonableness of the gas utility's rates.
