Every attorney, except one appointed by the court for a specific case, must file an Appearance of Counsel Form in order to participate in a case before the court. The form must be filed within 14 days after the date on the notice from the clerk that the Appearance of Counsel Form must be filed. With a court-appointed attorney, the order of appointment will be treated as the appearance form. Except for those who are court-appointed, an attorney who has not previously filed an Appearance of Counsel Form in a case will not be permitted to participate in oral argument of the case until the appearance form is filed.
