Verbatim from the operative section of Eleventh Circuit administrative order 26-16, harvested 2026-08-02; whitespace normalised only. • To be transferred into the ITP Section, the defendant’s competency must first be at issue. • The ITP Section Judge will be responsible for appointing the doctor and ordering the evaluation to determine whether the defendant is competent. 2 a. • If the defendant is adjudicated competent, the case will be transferred back to the original blind-filed section. b. • If the defendant is adjudicated incompetent, the case will remain in Sections CENT J/ M010 to be tracked and monitored accordingly. c. • If competency is restored, the case will be transferred back to the original blind- filing section following the determination that the defendant is competent.
