Verbatim from the operative section of Eleventh Circuit administrative order 80-4, harvested 2026-08-02; whitespace normalised only. • ORDERED AND ADJUDGED ADDITIONAL COST — Circuit Court When any person pleads guilty or nolo contendere to, or is convicted of any felony or misdemeanor in Circuit Court, in addition to any other cost required to be imposed by law, there is hereby imposed, and the Clerk shall collect, as an additional cost in the case, the sum of $10 unless such additional cost is waived or modified by the court. • Such additional cost is hereby waived when a person is adjudged insolvent or insolvent for costs. -1- SURCHARGE OF FINES — Circuit Court In addition to any fine prescribed by law imposed in Circuit Court there is hereby imposed, and the Clerk shall collect, an additional 5 percent surcharge thereon, unless such additional surcharge is waived or modified by the court. • ADDITIONAL COST — County Court When any person pleads guilty or nolo contendere to, or is convicted of any misdemeanor in County Court, in addition to any other cost required to be imposed by law, the court shall orally impose and so note the record as an additional cost in the case, the sum of $10, and the Clerk shall collect such additional cost when it is so imposed by the court.
