Verbatim from the operative section of https://www.jud12.flcourts.org/Portals/0/AdminOrders/Section01/01-09-1.pdf, harvested 2026-08-02; whitespace normalised only. • When such subpoenas do not have a time and date certain for their attendance, but in.stead contain a trial tenn in which the person's appearance may be required upon notification, the subpoena is commonly known as a standby subpoena. • Hereafter, any law enforcement officer, firefighter, or emergency services worker served with a "standby subpoena" in Sarasota Comity is excused for th~ remainder of the day from attendance at the proceeding to which he or she has been subpoenaed, unless he or she has been notified by 12:00 noon on the first day of the trial period and by 10:00 a.m. of each day of the trial period thereafter that he or she must appear pursuant to the terms of the subpoena.
