Annual renewals will be required for all attorneys paying a fee and there will be no proration of the fee for a partial year. • Bearers of the JCID shall be subject to search in the same manner as members of the general public and are not exempt from any of the statutes, orders or rules restricting introduction of prohibited items into courthouse facilities. The JCID shall be prominently displayed on the person in a manner that facilitates immediate identification by security officers. • JCID holders will be entitled to enter a merge lane to be established by the Sarasota County Sheriff on the ground floor of the Silvertooth Judicial Center. The merge lane is reserved for JCID holders and will be available for their use during peak traffic time and such additional times as the sheriff may direct. The JCID is for the use of the approved attorney only, and is non-transferable to third persons such as paralegals, secretaries or associate attorneys. The merge lane shall be operational on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Applications may be submitted at any time after the date of this order. • In coordination with the Trial Court Administrator, the sheriff shall provide such signage in the Judicial Center lobby as may be necessary to implement this order.
