Verbatim from the order, captured live 2026-08-03 from the Duval Clerk's store; whitespace normalised only. • In compliance with Section 903.26, Florida Statutes, the following procedures shall be followed by all Circuit and County Court Judges regarding bailbond forfeitures as a ,\~~ult of a criminal defendant I s failure to appear in court, under those circumstances where a criminal defendant has posted bond through a surety: • On said failure to appear date, the Judge shall not enter a forfeiture or estreature of the bond posted by the surety. • The Clerk of the Court shall notate a fail~re to appear on the part of the Defendant in the officiaf "'court file. • The Clerk of the court shall also. notate the next scheduled court appearance da,te of the Defendant in the court file. • (b) Between the date on which the defendant failed to appear and his next 'scheduled court date, the Clerk of the Court shall take the necessary steps to insure that the surety has actual written notice of the next scheduled court appearance date for the defendant, in compliance with Section 903.26 Florida Statutes.
