Verbatim from Fourth Circuit administrative order 2004-18 as published by the Duval County Clerk, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • (A) There shall be appointed from time to time a General Counsel to represent the interests ofthe Fourth Judicial Circbit, the Chief Judge ofthe Fourth Judicial Circuit in his official capacity, and such other entities as designated by administrative order. • (C) The Generall Counsel shall perform such legal functions as designated by the Chief • The Generai Counsel shall not be used to conduct legal research regarding matters pending before the Court ivvhich do not relate to trial court administration. • Any request by a judge, officer or employee of the Fourth Judicial Circuit to assign new duties to the General 1Counsel shall be addressed to the Chief Judge for his ratification. • The General Counsel shall serve at the pleasure of the Chief Judge and shall, accordingly, be answerable solely to the Chief Judge regarding the conduct of his job duties as
