Verbatim from Fourth Circuit administrative order 2008-03 as published by the Duval County Clerk, harvested 2026-07-26; whitespace normalised only. • The weeks of assignment shall begin with the hearings on Saturday morning in Courtroom • New delinquency cases shall be assigned to the division assigned to handle detention hearings on the date the case is opened. • New dependency cases shall be assigned to Division JV-B. -- 1 of 4 -- • The following special assignment rules shall prevail over the weekly, rotational assignments: • New delinquency cases shall be assigned to Division JV-B if the Department of Children and Families has active supervision over the child or any other children of the subject child’s mother that requires judicial coordination between the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Children and Families. • All active delinquency cases on a child shall be assigned to the same Juvenile • Division, which shall be the division in which the earliest filed case is pending. • New delinquency cases on more than one child, which arise out of the same set of operative facts, shall be assigned to the same Juvenile Division when none of the cases are subject to a reassignment of the case under subparagraph • If there is more than one such division, the new case shall be transferred to the division in which the earliest filed case is pending. iii. • If subsection i. and ii. do not apply but any child in a new delinquency case is active in a diversion program, the new case will be assigned to the same Juvenile Division in which that child’s diversionary case is pending. • If there is more than one such division, the new case shall be transferred to the division in which the earliest filed case is pending. iv. • If subsection i., ii., and iii. do not apply but any child in a new delinquency case has a pending open at-large case, the new case will be assigned to the same Juvenile Division in which the open at-large case is pending. • If there is more than one such division, the new case shall be assigned to the division in which the earliest filed case is pending. • Judges assigned to the three Juvenile Divisions shall meet or confer regularly to coordinate the scheduling of hearings, meetings, use of courtrooms and other matters necessary to the administration of the Juvenile Division. • The First Amended Administrative Order No. 2008-03 is hereby vacated and all terms and conditions set forth in this Second Amended Administrative Order No. 2008-03 shall supersede First Amended Administrative Order No. 2008-03. • This Second Amended Administrative Order No. 2008-03 shall take effect immediately and shall remain in full force and effect until further order of this Court. • This Second Amended Administrative Order No. 2008-03 shall be recorded by the
