Verbatim from Fourth Circuit administrative order 2018-04 as published by the Duval County Clerk, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • Courthouse must be addressed on a continuing basis in order to guarantee the safety and security of all employees within the Courthouse and the public’s safe and secure access to all court . proceedings and fimctions that take place in the Courthouse; ~ • Committee is established and shall consist of ' the following Circuit Court and County Court Judges: • The Security Committee shall convene once per month or more fi-equently as may be necessary to address any security concerns that are raised by the committee members and are submitted by any employees or citizens that access the Duval County • The purpose of the Security Committee shall be to consider all security concerns and make recommendaticnsto the Chief Judge regarding how to address those concerns and improve security within the Courthouse and in the areas immediately surrounding the Courthouse. • When a security concern has been raised by a committee member or submitted by an employee or citizen, the Security Committee shall meet to discuss that concern within thirty (30) days and shall make any appropriate recommendations based upon that concern ,to the Chief Judge within sixty (60) days. • In regard to any concern raised by an employee or citizen, that employee or citizen shall be informed of any action taken by the Chief Judge in response to the committee’s recommendation. • Judge, a quormn must be present during the Security Committee meeting wherein the recommendation is voted upon for approval to present the recommendation to the • A quorum shall be defined as seven (7) or more members of the • OR BK 18439 PAGE 811 ‘ 5) This First Amended Administrative Order No. 2018-04 shall be recorded by the Clerk of Court, in the Olificial Records of Duval County, in the State of Florida, and shall take effect immediately and remain in full force and effect unless and until otherwise ordered by the Court.
