Verbatim from https://www.circuit5.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/a-2023-38-d.pdf, harvested 2026-07-25; whitespace normalised only. • The LPP shall address those referrals informally, if possible, or refer said referrals to the Florida • The members of the LPP must include judges and local attorneys that are in good standing with The 1 -- 1 of 4 -- • Florida Bar, from diverse areas of practice with varying levels of experience, and who have been eligible to practice law at least 5 years; • The Fifth Judicial Circuit Local Professionalism Panel is required by order of the Supreme Court of Florida and this • LPP member terms are to be equally staggered, to the extent possible, such that no LPP, other than the initial LPP, shall consist of entirely new members, and each year the LPP will consist of approximately one-third new members. • Pursuant to the Code an LPP member may be reappointed to serve 1 additional 3-year term, not to exceed 6 consecutive years. • The Fifth Judicial Circuit Local Professionalism Panel shall operate under the guidance and supervision of the Chair of the Fifth • Except for the initial LPP members as found herein, LPP members shall be selected by the LPP Chair as designee of the Chief • Committee, Educational Division, shall ratify the selection of LPP members, unless, under the same set of circumstances as found immediately above, the Education Division Chair is a proposed appointee, the Chief Judge shall make the selection. • Panel and shall serve a second term to begin on July 1, 2026, and to end on June 30, 2029. • LPP members appointed to their initial terms must undergo training by experienced lawyers involved in The Florida Bar disciplinary process prior to serving on the panel. • Such service shall apply toward the consecutive service caps prescribed by paragraphs 2 and 3 and by the Code.
