A self-executing Bastrop County standing order (the County Court at Law and the 21st, 335th, 423rd and 465th District Courts) sealing medical and mental-health records from the public: all medical and/or mental-health records filed as pleadings or exhibits in any cause in the Bastrop County Clerk's or District Clerk's office are SEALED from the public, while the parties and their attorneys in that specific cause retain access; effective immediately and applicable to past, pending, and future causes until a different order is signed.

"it is ORDERED: All medical and/or mental health records filed as part of the pleadings and/or as exhibits in any cause, in either the Bastrop County Clerk's Office and/or the Bastrop County District Clerk's Office, are hereby SEALED from the public. This Order does not apply to the parties/litigants and/or their attorneys on a specific cause. The parties/litigants and their attorneys on a specific cause may have access to the medical and/or mental health records in that specific cause if they are the parties/litigants and/or attorneys to that specific cause." The order is effective immediately and "IS APPLICABLE TO ALL CAUSES INCLUDING PAST CAUSES, PENDING CAUSES, AND ALL CAUSES FILED IN THE FUTURE."
