Order of Appointment and Rules Governing the Procedure for Making a Record of Civil and Criminal Court Proceedings in the Bosque County Court at Law by Electronic Recording. (1) Application: the rules govern proceedings in the Bosque County Court at Law in criminal and civil matters in which a record is made by electronic audio or audio-visual recording, as well as appellate records prepared from such proceedings. (2) Duties of Court Recorders: no stenographic record is required of electronically recorded proceedings; the Court designates one or more court recorders whose duties include ensuring the recording system functions properly and produces a complete, distinct, clear and transferable recording; making a detailed, legible log indexed by date and location showing the number and style of the proceeding, the name of each speaker, the nature of the proceeding (voir dire, opening, examination, cross-examination, argument, bench conferences, whether in the jury's presence, etc.), the time of each event, and the offer, admission or exclusion of all exhibits; filing the original log and exhibits after the proceeding; storing the recording so it is preserved as required by law and accessible; prohibiting access to the original recording without written order of the presiding judge; preparing or obtaining certified copies of the recording, designated exhibits, and the original log upon full payment, at the request of any person entitled to it or at the direction of the trial or appellate judge, subject to the laws of Texas, the rules of procedure, and the presiding judge's instructions; and performing other duties directed by the presiding or appellate judge and prescribed by the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure and the Uniform Format Manual for Texas Reporters' Records. (3) The reporter's record on appeal is prepared from the electronic recording as provided in the order.
