"Article 17.029 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure now provides for the review of a bail decision of any arrest or charge of an offense punishable as a felony if the decision was made by the magistrate of a court that does not have jurisdiction to try the case." … "Upon receipt of a request to review a bail decision under Art. 17.029, the Brazoria County District Clerk shall immediately do the following: 1. Notify the appropriate District Court Judge by sending a copy of the request, and any accompanying documents, to the designated bail review email address for said court; 2. The District Court Judge will create a bail decision review setting for the case on the court's next available docket, but no later than the next business day after the District Clerk receives the request by an attorney representing the State of Texas; and 3. The clerk of the court shall place the request in the District Judge's queue and notify the District Judge and court coordinator of the pending document."
