District-court direct-filing rule (April 28, 2021): protective-order applications, divorces and SAPCRs involving the same parties file directly into the family district court already holding the related case, rather than through blind random assignment.

The order directs the District Clerk to file family-law matters involving the same parties or the same child(ren) — including protective-order applications and subsequent divorce or suit-affecting-the-parent-child-relationship filings — directly into the family district court in which the earlier related proceeding is or was pending, to prevent the splitting of related family matters between the two family courts.
